香料や染料などの香木以外のものは一切使用していません。

【沈香とは？】
主に東南アジアに分布するジンチョウゲ科の高木の老木や土の中に埋もれた倒木に、虫食いなどの様々な原因でついた傷に真菌が侵入することで分泌される樹液。
この樹液が固まった樹脂の成分が長い時間をかけて変化をして香りを発するようになったものです。
樹脂の比重が大きいため水に沈むことから”沈香“と呼ばれて、鎮静効果に優れているとされています。

Agarwood is known as a rare and noble fragrant wood in the world.
Nippon Kodo has been collecting and carefully protecting precious incense trees over the years.
The vintage product FUGAKU was created using only the fragrant wood that was carefully selected from their important collection.

FUGAKU’s 3 series of ITADAKI( Summit), SORA(Sky), and HARUKA(Eternal) were born. It is limited edition product with only 30 sets each in the world, with a serial number.

It is made using the latest low-temperature manufacturing technology of Nippon Kodo so that you can feel the scent of fragrant wood as it is. Nothing other than fragrances, such as fragrances and dyes, is used.

Fugaku is selected as a special gift of the finest quality to important deceased people and ancestors, or to relatives, mentors, and Bodaiji, family temple.

【What is JINKO – Agarwood】
JINKO-Agarwood is sap secreted by fungi invading old Thymelaeaceae family, which are mainly grow in Southeast Asia, and fallen trees buried in the soil, which have been damaged by various causes such as worm-eaten.

The resin component of this solidified sap changes over a long period of time to give off a scent.
Since the resin has a large specific gravity and sinks in water, it is called "JINKO -sink fragrant " and is said to have an excellent sedative effect.


【Why is it so rare?】
Thymelaeaceae family trees take about 20 years to grow.
It is said that it takes about 150 years! for the fungus to react with the sap from scratches made by worm-eaten or scratched trees and to produce agarwood.
The tree must be alive in the meantime, as it cannot be agarwood once it becomes a dead tree.
It's like a miracle that agarwood is created naturally.
